On February 26th 2017 we were ready to travel to Ascend17 which is the EPIServer North American conference with customers and partners.
We were excited as this was our first Ascend. After an eleven hour, direct flight we arrived in Vegas and took a cab to the AirBnB apartment we hade booked to get ready for the conference starting Monday morning.
In the apartment we were pleasantly surprised to see that it had a massage chair – which is very good after a long flight.
Monday morning, after breakfast and registration, the conference kicked off with CEO Marc Duffel and CMO James Norwood who both had some inspiring talks about the tremendous growth of EPIServer in the US.
The rest of Monday was packed with interesting sessions and the opportunity to meet and network with potential customers and partners.
After an early jetlagged night to bed, day two of the conference started. It was kicked off by CMO James Norwood and followed by a very inspiring session by Mel Robbins around the 5 second rule.
Furthermore, Allan Thraen, who is Director of Research, shared some of the exciting prospects with Machine Learning, Cognitive Services and Azure going ahead.
The rest of Tuesday involved great sessions and even further opportunity to network, before the attendee party Tuesday evening, held at The Marquee night club, located at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
It was a very good networking opportunity as well as a fun evening out.
This conference have made us even more aware of which features to support in the future on EPIServer.
Thank you for a great and inspiring event – see you next year!
